Experience and seniority matter in the House of Representatives.

Steve Kirby has served four terms on the Tacoma City Council and nine terms
in the State House of Representatives.

As the senior House member of the Pierce County delegation – only six people out of the 98 House members who have been there longer – and as Chairman of the powerful Business and Financial Services Committee, Steve Kirby is widely regarded as one of the most influential voices in the legislature. And that’s important because it often puts him in a position to fight off legislation that harms his constituents – and there’s never any shortage of that.

“He’s been around long enough to know this process inside and out,” says House Speaker Frank Chopp. “And that’s what it takes to defend your constituency and get things done.”

And make no mistake; Steve Kirby knows how to get things done. He knows all the players without a program, and he has what it takes to stand up to the power-brokers who think they can call the shots in Olympia, and the special interests who will stop at nothing to pad their pockets at the expense of the people.

Re-elect Steve Kirby. It’s the next-best thing to being there yourself.
